Bengali Baby is a 1987 TB mare by Tim the Tiger who is by Nashua out of Native Vixen who is by Native Royalty. She was a successful race mare. I bought her as a 5 yo and rode her as a show hunter. Bengali produced 5 outstanding foals for us before being retired. Bengali is a big bodied 16.2hh mare with lots of bone. She is one of the most talented horses I ever rode. Balanced, powerful, with tons of jump. Bengali has been retired at 20 years old. We hope she has a long and happy retirement in her new adopted home.

Bengali is 16 years old in this picture and had produced 4 foals.

Bengali is the dam if the Irish Draught Horse Society (NA) 2005 Irish Draught Sport Horse In Hand Champion Tiger Blue.

Bengali is pictured at left with her 30 day old Thoroughbred foal, Friendly Vixen. Friendly Vixen won the Foal class at  NJ Thoroughbred Breeder Associations Mare and Foal Show. Vixen is by Community Interest (pictures and info on Community Interest can be seen on his page on this site).

All of Bengali's foals have been outstanding!

<---- Overskate Key is a 1997 mare out of Overskate Lady by Beyond the Mint. She is 16.3hh and all sweetheart! Keya, as we call this mare, is an exceptionally quite and kind mare. She is a beautiful mover with a lot of suspention and power thanks to her lovely up hill confirmation. Keya produced 3 fantastic foals for us and we hope she is sold on to a wonderful home as a riding horse or broodmare. Keya is pictured at left with her 1st foal, a TB filly by Community Interest (see below).

Keya is pictured at right with her second foal. An Irish Draught Sport Horse colt by Banks Fee Daniel. The colt, whose registered name is Donegal Bay, won the Irish Draught Horse Society (NA) 2005 Irish Draught Sport Horse Colt class.

Community Interest a 1978 Thoroughbred Stallion - by Forli out of Friendly Circle (by Round Table) was humanely euthanized on June 27, 2007 due to the infirmities of old age. "Hercules" as he was fondly called by his friends at Derby Lyn Farms was cared for and attended to till the end by the kind and generous horsewoman Katie Clark.  We would like to thank Katie for seeing this proud and noble creature safely to the Bridge. I hope to see the Copper Coated stallion someday on the other side...
